Your safari begins in the morning with departure from Arusha in a pop-up-roof 4×4. Travel through the landscapes of Northern Tanzania towards Tarangire National Park, arriving ready to spend the day exploring one of the region’s most rewarding wildlife areas. 

Set out on a game drive through Tarangire’s beautiful mixture of open savannah, woodland and riverine habitats. The park is particularly famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, which give the landscape its unmistakable character. Keep watch for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and antelopes, while predators such as lions may also be encountered during the day. 

Around midday, pause for a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness. Afterwards, continue your afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of Tarangire and enjoying further opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.

Later in the afternoon, leave the park and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening and bringing your Tarangire day safari to an end.
