DAY 01
Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Arusha. On arrival, meet your private safari guide and begin the drive towards Tarangire National Park, marking the start of your adventure on Tanzania’s mainland.
Arrive in Tarangire and set out on an afternoon game drive through a landscape characterized by ancient baobab trees, open savannah and the life-giving Tarangire River. The park is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, while giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest and lions are also frequently encountered.
Continue exploring the park through the afternoon before leaving Tarangire and travelling towards Karatu. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

DAY 02
Ngorongoro Crater → Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. Surrounded by dramatic crater walls, this remarkable natural sanctuary supports one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Tanzania.
Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas and the endangered black rhino. Around midday, stop for lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your game drive through the crater’s grasslands, woodland and wetland habitats.
Later in the afternoon, ascend to the crater rim and begin the drive back to Arusha Airport. Board your evening flight to Zanzibar, where you will be transferred onward, bringing your short mainland safari adventure to an end.
