DAY 01
Arusha → Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, set out for Tarangire National Park, a beautiful wilderness of ancient baobab trees, open savannah and the Tarangire River. The park is particularly renowned for its large elephant population and offers a rewarding introduction to Tanzania’s Northern Circuit.
Spend the day exploring on a private game drive with your guide, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes and, with some luck, leopard or cheetah. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the wilderness before continuing your game drive and later travelling to your lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening.

DAY 02
Tarangire → Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel towards the Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with an opportunity to admire the crater from above. As you continue west, the highlands gradually give way to the vast grasslands that inspired the Maasai name Siringitu, meaning “endless plains.”
Enter Serengeti National Park and begin exploring its open savannah and distinctive rocky kopjes, natural vantage points often favoured by lions and other predators. Continue your game drive into the afternoon before making your way to camp in Central Serengeti.

DAY 03
Full Day in Central Serengeti
Begin early in the heart of Central Serengeti, when the cooler morning hours bring increased wildlife activity across the plains. Explore the wildlife-rich Seronera Valley, watching for lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and giraffes as your guide follows the day’s most promising sightings.
Pause for a picnic lunch surrounded by the Serengeti landscape before continuing along grasslands and river systems in search of hippos, abundant birdlife and other wildlife. As the afternoon light softens, return to camp with time to relax after a full day in the wilderness.

DAY 04
Central Serengeti → Ngorongoro Highlands
Start the day with an early game drive through Central Serengeti, taking advantage of the cooler morning hours when predators and other wildlife are often most active. Explore the Seronera area for further opportunities to encounter wildebeest, zebra, lions, leopards and cheetahs.
After a picnic lunch, continue with a final transfer game drive as you leave the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. An optional hot-air balloon safari can be arranged in the morning, while travellers interested in local culture may also choose to visit a Maasai village. Arrive in Karatu later in the day for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05
Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
After an early breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend approximately 600 metres to the crater floor for your final game drive. This remarkable natural amphitheatre supports one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife within a relatively compact area.
Explore the grasslands, woodland and wetlands in search of lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, wildebeest, zebras and the endangered black rhino. After lunch and further wildlife viewing, ascend from the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha, where your five-day safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
