Your adventure begins early in the morning with a 5:00 am pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to Zanzibar Airport. From here, board your morning flight to Mikumi National Park, leaving the Indian Ocean behind for a day among the wildlife and landscapes of mainland Tanzania. 

On arrival, meet your safari guide and set out on a game drive across Mikumi’s expansive floodplains and savannah. The park’s open landscapes provide excellent opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and wildebeest, while lions may also be spotted during your exploration. The surrounding mountain ranges create a beautiful backdrop to the wildlife-rich plains. 

Pause during the day for a hot lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive and exploring more of the park. At around 3:00 pm, make your way back for the return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, your driver will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel, bringing your one-day safari adventure to an end
